🦄 The 130th Boston Marathon: A Masterclass in Grit

🦄 The 130th Boston Marathon: A Masterclass in Grit

What a legendary day in Boston. The 130th Boston Marathon lived up to every bit of its prestige, and seeing that iconic "Unicorn" medal around your necks is the ultimate reward for months of grueling long runs and interval sessions. From the Newton Hills to the final turn onto Boylston Street, here is how the day unfolded for the trio.

There is an old saying in running: "You don't run Boston, you earn it." This year, the course demanded everything, and our crew delivered results that are nothing short of elite.

Jane: The PB Crusher
Finish Time: 3:13
If there was an award for the "Performance of the Day," it goes to Jane. Coming into Boston is usually about "surviving" the course, but Jane decided to annihilate her PB by a massive 8 minutes.

Taking 8 minutes off a marathon time is hard enough on a flat course, but doing it on the world's most famous set of hills is legendary. Her 3:13 finish is a testament to a perfect taper and a fearless race strategy. The joy in that second photo says it all—that medal was earned in every single one of those minutes.

William: The 2:48 Powerhouse
Finish Time: 2:48
The first photo captures the pure relief and pride of a job well done. Running a 2:48 in Boston puts William in a very rarified bracket of amateur athletes. To maintain that level of intensity through the Heartbreak Hill segment and still finish with a smile (and the foil blanket!) proves that the training block was spot on. Consistency is king, and William wore the crown today.

Michael: The 8-Second Hero
Finish Time: 2:44
Michael might not have a finisher photo yet (likely because he was moving too fast for the shutter to click!), but his performance speaks for itself. Clocking a 2:44 is a phenomenal achievement on this undulating course.

But the real story? He beat his personal best by exactly 8 seconds. In a marathon, where every stride counts over 42.195 kilometers, finding those 8 seconds in the final stretch is the definition of "leaving it all on the road." That is pure mental toughness.

Congratulations to all of you. Rest those legs—you’ve more than earned it!
